NICOS ECONOMOPOULOS

Nicos Economopoulos is my favourite singer. Nikos Economopoulos is a Greek singer. Emerged from the TV talent show "Dream Show-the Music 2", which was a winner. He has collaborated with artists such as Stamatis Gonidis and Nikos Makropoulos, and Anna Vissi began, in concerts in Africa.He was born in Patras in 1984 and from an early age, he dealt with singing and music in general. The last 7 years he is singing professionally with various ensembles. In Autumn of 2006 decided to declare participation in the popular talent show of ALPHA "Dream Show The Music 2" and he came first in the preferences of the public and the jury. Shortly after, he participated in youthful shape to Fix, and a few months later began live performances in View with Nikos Makropoulos and Maro Ransom. At the same time, he released his first cd single titled "Matia mou" that contained a great success, "Koita na mathaineis". In 2007 he released his first full album "Prwti Agapi". Nikos Economopoulos released in January 2009 his second album titled "Akousa", a folk album that includes 15 songs. I admire him because i believe is one of the best singer of his generation !!

Salvador Dali was a Spanish painter, sculptor, graphic artist, and designer. Dali produced over 1,500 paintings in his career. He beautifully illustrated a lot of books, lithographs, designs for theatre sets and costumes.He left us a great number of drawings, dozens of sculptures, and various other projects, including an animated short film for Disney.

Salvador Dali  was born on May 11, 1904, in the town of Figueres, Spain and he was married to  Gala. His associates included such iconic figures as Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, Sigmund Freud and Coco Chanel. In 1931, Dali painted one of his most famous works, The Persistence of Memory, which introduced a surrealistic image of soft, melting pocket watches. From 1960 to 1974, Salvador Dali dedicated much of his time to creating the Dali Teatro Museo in Figueres, Spain.

In 1980, Dali was forced to retire from painting due to a motor disorder that caused permanent trembling and weakness in his hands. On  January 23 , 1989, he died of heart failure at the age of 84.

I think Salvador Dali was a very interesting and unique personality who lived life on his terms. He is remembered worldwide for his originality and great contribution to art.

Channing Tatum

     My favorite artist is Channing Tatum. He was born on April 26, 1980 in Cullman, Alabama. Channing Mathew Tatum well known as an American actor, film producer and dancer first began his career as a fashion model. He also appeared in television commercials for Pepsi and Mountain Dew. Channing played in many successful movies such as "Step up", "The Vow", "Dear John" and " Mad Mike". 

     His mother Kay, is an airline worker and his father, Glenn Tatum, worked in construction. Tatum's ancestry involves Irish, French and American Native. During his teenage years, Chan was really athletic. He used to play football, soccer and baseball. Moreover, after graduating high school in 1998, he was awarded with a football scholarship to Glenville State College in Glenville, West Virginia which he turned down.

     The reason I admire him most is because I believe that he is an excellent actor-dancer as well as a good looking man.

SHAKIRA

My favourite singer is Shakira. Shakira Mebarak was born February 2, 1977, in Barranquilla, Colombia, into a poor family. Her mother was a native Colombian and her father was of Lebanese . Her full name is Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll. She is a latin pop singer. My favourite song is addicted to you. 

Shakira become a star from 2011 with the song whanever wharever in the English-speaking world almost overnight. Laundry Service entered the American pop charts at number three, and "Whenever, Wherever" climbed into the Top Ten of the singles chart, peaking at number six. Shakira is very good belly dancer as well and have the perfect combination for a female singer.

Vasilis Karras

My favourite singer is Vasilis Karras because i like his voice. He was born on November 1953 in Kokkinochori in Greece. 

In 1969 when she was only 16 years old  made his first appearance in club "Prosfygas" in Thessaloniki. The club owners allowed Vasilis to sing on many more occasions, and thus a legend was born. The audience in his home city took a particular liking in his style.

  He makes up to 40 albums while the biggest commercial success was a musical album "I've done punk", which had sold more than 180,000 copies.

Nowadays, Vasilis Karras is regarded as a legend of folk music in Greece. Apart from continuing his discography, he also continues to sing at nightclubs in Athens and Thessaloniki and also travels around the globe to centres of the Greek diaspora, including the United States,Germany, Australia and Canada. The audiences abroad have also taken a particular liking to his music, and Vasilis has many loyal fans outside of Greece.

  From all singers i really like Niko Ikonomopoulo .Actually he is my favourite singer! 

He is a Greek young   singer who is well known for his successful career and his voice.

His  career first began when he was participate in a talent show named "dream show" and he was the  winner.From then on he had a lot of proposals for cooperation  and that was the beginning. 

Lets see now his earlier life....

He was born at 30th  of July  in  1984 in Patra .  When he was  17  he  left his home to follow his career and sing all over the country . At the same time he also did ather jobs like pizza boy (delivery boy )   and waiter in a fish shop .
At 2007 and 2008 he  made his albums   with his songs. Also he awarded as the best new artist and  the best video clip  at Mad Video Awards  .

Some of his songs are: " You're not okay" "All for You", "Look to learn", "Two Broken Glass" and "This star."( in English translation)  .

Sakis Rouvas

 

An artist that I really marvel is the Greek Singer Sakis Rouvas.

He born on the 5^th of January in 1972, in the village Mandoukion.

He came from a very poor family. At the age of 12 his parents get divorced and then started working to help his family. Rouvas started his career in the early 1990’s, when he won a Song Festival in Thessaloniki.

Now days, he is married with the model Katia Zigouli and they have 3 children. Sakis is one of the most well-known Greek celebrities and one of the most successful and famous entertainers of all the time in Greece.

The reason that I really admire Sakis, is because when he was young, except

the family problems that he faced, Sakis create his dreams and he follow

them, and that’s why today is celebrated. Lastly, make him becoming more

special his contribution in philanthropic organizations.

My favourite artist is a Mexican painter, called Frida Kahlo de Rivera. Frida was born on July 6, 1907,and died on july 13,1954, in Coyoacán at Blue Hous. Her real name was Magdalena Carmen Frieda Kahlo y Calderón, who is best known for her self-portraits.

Mexican culture and Amerindian cultural tradition are important in her work, which has been sometimes characterized as Naïve art or folk art. Her work has also been described as "surrealist", and in 1938 André Breton, principal initiator of the surrealist movement, described Kahlo's art as a "ribbon around a bomb".
 Kahlo married the famous Mexican artist Diego Rivera. Furthermore she suffered lifelong health problems and for three times she had her pregnancy terminated. These issues obviously influenced her works. Kahlo once said, "I paint myself because I am so often alone and because I am the subject I know best. She also stated, "I was born a bitch. I was born a painter.’’

Her work has been celebrated in Mexico as emblematic of national and indigenous tradition, and by feminists for its uncompromising depiction of the female experience and form. You can found her paintings in museums and especially Louvre.

The reason that I admire her is because she managed to express her daily problems and feelings by painting them and usually in self- portraits.

Cam Joslin Gigandet is an American actor who was born in 16 of August,1982 in Tacoma, Washington. After graduating from Auburn Senior High School in Auburn, Washington he moved to California, where he attended Santa Monica College. He started his career with secondary roles in television series, at first in 2003 in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and then in The Young and the Restless and Jack and Bobby. He continued his television career with more leading roles. But, in 2007 he made his first appear in the film Never Back Down which was the cause to won his first award for “Best Fight” at the MTV Movie Awards. Actually, he is best known from his role James in Twilight where he won his second award for “Best Fight”. I admire Cam Gigandet because he has great technique in his roles and also, even he is a young actor who actually became famous few years ago he is still being away from the media spotlights.

Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simon

Known as Michelangelo, was born in the 6^th of March 1475 in Caprese, Tuscany. He was a sculptor, painter, architect, poet, and engineer. Michelangelo was the greatest living artist in his time and he is still considered to be one of the greatest artists of all times.

The Pietà and David are his most well-known sculptures.

When Michelangelo arrived in Rome, he was made by the Pope Julius II to paint Sistine’s Chapel ceiling. He was also the architect of St Peter’s and it’s dome, where the Pietà was placed and he redesigned The Capitoline Hill. 

Eventually, Michelangelo returned to Florence and then the consuls of the Guild of Wool asked him to complete an unfinished project, a colossal statue of David as a symbol of Florentine freedom.

Many samples of Michelangelo’s work are displayed in Rome, Florence, Milan, New York, London, Bologna, Bruges, Paris, Besancon, Norfolk, Haarlem, Windsor and Bayonne.

He died on the 18th of February 1564.
