Led Zeppelin

My favorite artist is basically an English rock band which was active in the late 60’s and throughout the 70’s.  The bands’ name is Led Zeppelin.

 They were formed in 1968 with the name New Yardbirds, the band was consisted of guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham.  They are widely considered to be one of the most successful, innovative and influential rock groups in history.  Their fourth album which consist their most famous song “Stairway To Heaven” is the one that cemented the status of the group as superstars.  Led Zeppelin are frequently recognized as the progenitors of heave metal and hard rock, however, the band's individualistic style drew from a wide variety of influences, including folk music.  They were disbanded after Bonham’s unexpected death in 1980.

After that, the surviving members followed a solo career and sometimes they were involved in a series of collaborations and reunions.

Led Zeppelin are one of the best-selling music artists  in the history of audio recording and Rolling Stone magazine described them as "the heaviest band of all time", "the biggest band of the '70s" and "unquestionably one of the most enduring bands in rock history".

You should listen to them, they are great!
