Corey Taylor
My favourite artist is Corey Taylor.He was born on December 8, 1973 and is best known as the vocalist and lyricist of metal bands Slipknot and Stone Sour. Aside from singing, Corey can also play the guitar and the piano.
Taylor is a founding member of Stone Sour and has recorded four albums with them. He joined Slipknot in 1997 and since then has released four studio albums. He sings and writes in styles that vary by genre. He was ranked number 86 on Hit Parader's Top 100 Metal Vocalists of All Time. Taylor's voice is unique. His vocal style contains melodic singing, growling, shouting, screaming and rapping.
Corey Taylor's childhood was not a happy one. Growing up in Des Moines, Iowa with his mother and sister, he developed drug addiction by the age of fifteen and later as an adult had alcohol abuse problems. He has been sober for the last four years after going to a rehabilitation centre. On July 12, 2011 he published a book called Seven Deadly Sins: Settling The Argument Between Born Bad And Damaged Good.
